Mohs Micrographic Surgery is the best way to remove most skin cancers. It is a staged procedure. On the day of the procedure a sample will be taken and examined under the microscope by Dr. DiPreta. Additional pieces will be removed as needed until the cancer is clear. It is best to be prepared to be in the office either all morning or all afternoon depending on appointment time. This procedure reduces the healing time, decreases the scar size and brings the cure rate up toward 99.5%.
